About the Department

The revolution in computer technology has profoundly shaped our lifestyle, culture, and economy, and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at NPRCET, Natham, established in 2008, stands at the forefront of this transformation. With an undergraduate intake of 120 students, the department offers a unique environment that combines high academic expectations with an exceptional quality of life for both students and faculty. Our dynamic approach ensures that education and training keep pace with the rapid changes of the digital era, equipping students with versatile skills, fostering innovation, and encouraging them to embrace challenges and change. The department’s mission is to produce high-quality Computer Science and Engineering professionals who can adapt to evolving technological and societal needs, while also demonstrating strong managerial capabilities and a commitment to society. Through our value-added courses, every student is given the opportunity to excel, and alumni frequently attest that earning a degree here is an unparalleled experience. The department maintains strong industry linkages, notably with the ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu, enhancing practical exposure and employability. Our dedication to excellence is reflected in the 13 university ranks achieved in Anna University examinations. Furthermore, the Computer Science and Engineering program has been accredited by the NBA (National Board of Accreditation) for three academic years—2024-25, 2025-26, and 2026-27—valid until 30/06/2027. The sanctioned intake for the B.E. Computer Science and Engineering program has evolved over the years, beginning with 60 students in 2008-09, expanding to 120 students in several academic years, thereby enabling us to nurture and develop talented professionals ready to contribute meaningfully to the ever-changing technology landscape.
