[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]Ministry of Education (MoE), Govt. of India has established \u2018MoE\u2019s Innovation Cell (MIC)\u2019 to systematically foster the culture of Innovation among all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The primary mandate of MIC is to encourage, inspire and nurture young students by supporting them to work with new ideas and transform them into prototypes while they are informative years. MIC has envisioned encouraging creation of \u2018Institution\u2019s Innovation Council (IICs) across selected HEIs. A network of IICs is established to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the Institution through multitudinous modes leading to an innovation promotion ecosystem in the campuses. Major Focus of IIC<\/h4><\/div>

  • To create a vibrant local innovation ecosystem.<\/li>\n
  • Start-up supporting mechanism in HEIs.<\/li>\n
  • Prepare the institute for the Atal Ranking of institutions on the innovation achievements framework.<\/li>\n
  • Establish a function ecosystem for scouting ideas and pre-incubation of ideas.<\/li>\n
  • Develop better cognitive ability among students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Functions of IIC<\/h4><\/div>

    • To conduct various Innovation, IPR, and entrepreneurship-related activities prescribed by MIC in a time-bound fashion.<\/li>\n
    • Identify and reward innovations and share success stories.<\/li>\n
    • Organize periodic workshops\/ seminars\/ interactions with entrepreneurs, investors, professionals, and create a mentor pool for student innovators.<\/li>\n
    • Network with peers and national entrepreneurship development organizations.<\/li>\n
    • Create an Institution\u2019s Innovation portal to highlight innovative projects carried out by the institution\u2019s faculty and students.<\/li>\n
    • Organize Hackathons, idea competitions, mini-challenges, etc., with the involvement of industries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Ministry of Higher Education (MoE), Govt. of India, has established the \u2018Institutions Innovation Council<\/strong>‘ among selected Higher Education Institutions across India in 2018. The focus of IIC is to encourage, inspire, and nurture young students by supporting them to work with new ideas and transform them into prototypes. IIC is established to promote innovation in the Institution through multitudinous modes, leading to an innovation promotion eco-system in the campus.
